Your work is stunning. I give full praise on your artistic ability. However,in my opinion. The V4X 'look' is all wrong for Luka. It was a totally unnecessary change.
Just because a vocaloid gets an upgrade to her voice, does not mean that her whole look has to be drastically altered. (Like Miku's bizarre 'append' look with all of those things stuck to, and hanging out of her) Please allow me to point out a list of ten things.

Also please know that these are my opinions. And I am not trying to belittle anyone who likes this design. Nor am I diminishing any artist who creates beauty with Luka, using this look. ONE- Those HUGE helmet-headphones. What I can't understand is, Why are they so huge? I think of boxing headgear whenever I see that thing.
Nice design, but they could have be a more practical, or even believable in proportion. Those things have got to weigh several pounds, if they were a real-life item. The silhouette is ruined by those, Making her head look huge and misshapen. TWO- The brass 'infinity/ trumpet' type adornment is in the wrong place. It belongs on a necklace, not imbedded into her boob. THREE- That collar. *sigh* Well, at least they kept her blue jewel where it belongs.

FOUR- Funnels with piano-keys in them? Her '03' tattoo is partially hidden by one. Since when did Luka's design get inspired by a piano?
I thought it was primarily wind instruments. FIVE- The VL1 panel that belongs on her right arm is gone. The d-pad of which is now between her boobs, on her wooden bra-cup things. Watch for splinters, Luka! *OUCH!* SIX- The translucent bodice. Ok, that is nice.
I especially like the lace-up detail in the back. Also it retains the center brass trim up the front, and still shows her sweet belly-button.
SEVEN- Is that a nipple-chain worn on the outside of the wooden bra thing? EIGHT- The skirt.
But it's just missing something. The belt now has the 'woodwind instrument' detail that is supposed to be trimming the slit in the skirt, but Ok. NINE- The stockings. They are fine, Could have done without the fake lacing though. TEN- Where are her boots? Those awesome golden-hued, knee-high boots with the asymmetrical lacing.
Sad to have those gone, replaced by wedge-heeled 'Grandma' shoes. She has even been called my 'waifu' by several of my friends. Sid meier's pirates online, free. I also love her V4X sound. It is a wonderful addition to her voicebank.

However, the V2 outfit was the perfect look for her. Among the many wonderful outfits she has worn, and been portrayed in, no other captures Luka's essence, her class, elegance, sexiness, charm, beauty, and her Mona Lisa - like allure and mystery like her original V2 look does.

No doubt that iXima, as well as you, REMaple, are AMAZING artists, with wonderful talent. But as far as Luka is concerned, This style should have been a PJD and/or MMD option, and not been intended as a full re-do of her look. They didn't go this drastic when Miku V3 came out, and they should not have done so with Luka. Nothing will ever be more beautiful, more elegant, and more perfect for her than her original V2 style. In closing, I hope that no one is offended by my opinions. I'm merely stating them, and not trying to change anyone's mind. Thank you for your time.
I'm not personally offended by your opinions, but a majority of people like this new design (I am not excusing any of your concerns). A few of your concerns are quite bizarre and outrageous, though. Some of them you have to be extremely attatched to the previous design. The design is simply created for solely marketing purposes, but obviously it has become more than that in the Vocaloid community. As REMmaple has said, design doesn't make the Vocaloid since the Vocaloid actually is only the voice. The design is simply a sticker or a picture to attach to the voice to help imagine a singer.
